Father's Day Gifts from Kids

Father's Day is a perfect time for kids to to show Dad how much they love and appreciate him. What better way to make Dad feel special than with heartfelt gifts? Here are a few DIY Father's Day gift ideas that kids can create to bring a smile to their father's face.

  • Snack basket I personally don’t know any man who doesn’t love snacks. For Christmas, I fill my husband’s stocking full of his favorites salty and sweet treats. Father’s Day is another time to dote on dad with his favorite homemade or store-bought snacks and treats. The kids help me make homemade goodies and pick out his favorite snacks from the store. We package everything in a reusable container that can be repurposed throughout the year. This year, we’re using a small tackle box.

  • Homemade spice rub Mix up a batch of his favorite spice rub, put it in a jar, and add a label. This gift is perfect for dad who love to grill. This is my go-to spice rub for meat:

    • 1/4 C paprika

    • 1/4 C brown sugar

    • 3 T dried oregano

    • 2 T salt

    • 4 tsp. garlic powder

    • 2 tsp. onion powder

    • 1 tsp. pepper

  • Memory jar Work together to create a memory jar with notes or drawings describing a special moment, funny story, favorite memory, or reason why you love Dad. It’s a great way to appreciate and reflect on experiences you’ve shared together as a family.
